Fans can finally relax as HBO confirmed through a teaser trailer that George R.R. Martin’s television masterpiece, “Game of Thrones” would be back for it’s 7th, penultimate season on July 16th.

After the disappointing supposed reveal in a block of ice went haywire due to HBO’s technical difficulties, the network made ammends by coming out with an impressively-ominous teaser trailer that featured the series’ main house sigils. The teaser ended strong with a dialogue by Jon Snow that warns of a “Great War”. After the events that had transpired in the last season, it is strongly implied that the clash pertains to the looming and almost apparent battle between the White Walkers and the kingdoms.

It had been reported that in the course of only 6 hours, the teaser garnered a total of 16 Million views. If you haven’t seen it, you can watch the teaser here!

As dedicated fans may already know, the seventh season signals the end of the show. And unlike the previous seasons that were composed of 10 episodes each, “Game of Thrones” now only left with 13 episodes, would be strategically divided by the creators and show runners into two short seasons.
